Dead Cells

Dead Cells, huh?

Maybe you've never heard of this game before, and the game being in Beta right now doesn't help neither.
Now if you're a fan of rogue-like and retro games like me. I can promise you this game has everything you want from that style of games.

Dead Cells , as I said, is a retro style rogue-like game with tons of content though being in beta. it has around 16 to 20 hours of playthough and in my case, I already played ten hours so I can tell you perfectly what this game does very well, and what it doesn't.

The first thing I have to talk about it's about how good the response to controls is in this game. Response of controls it's quite difficult to explain when you are playing a game but this one does it very well and it's very enjoyable because of the smoothest it has.

Another thing I have to mention is the upgrade of your items with colours. There are scrolls you can find to upgrade one of your attributes; Brutality(Red), Technicality(Purple) or Survivality(Green). If you choose to upgrade brutality for example, that means that if you have an item with a red colour, the damage of that item is going to increase. (An item can have more than one colour).
There are also mutations that give you bonuses depending on which colour you choose like more damage for a certain time, life regeneration, no curses...(Yeah I know, a lot of things with colours).

One of the most important things in this game are the cells you can find while you are playing. They are used to obtain new items (Swords, Shields, Bows...) and you can only use them after finishing the level.
Here are some in-game images:
